A network of community-led Digital Hubs is opening across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to help residents access online services, learn digital skills, and stay connected.
The grant-funded Digital Hubs provide free Wi-Fi, access to devices, and friendly support for anyone who needs help getting online.
Building on the success of the scheme launch in Peterborough in 2025, where grants were allocated by Connecting Cambridgeshire to community groups and organisations nominated by partner organisation Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS), the Cambridgeshire grants have been awarded through a competitive application process.
These local venues will play a key role in ensuring residents can access essential online services, boost their skills and feel confident navigating today’s digital world.
Digital Hubs are designed to provide place‑based, holistic support where people already feel comfortable – with trusted staff and volunteers offering guidance that meets local needs.
We’re currently updating our map to show the locations of all the Digital Hubs, and will have a list of open Cambridgeshire venues soon, in the meantime:

Building on the success of the scheme launch in autumn 2025, further grants are now available and will be awarded through a competitive application process.
Overview
The Digital Hubs scheme is part of Connecting Cambridgeshire’s commitment to tackling digital exclusion by enabling trusted local venues to offer digital access and support.
Through this scheme, we are providing small grants of up to £4,200 to help successful applicants procure connectivity solutions and digital devices, and deliver digital skills and confidence-building support to their communities.
We will review applications received during the open window and will work closely with successful applicants to set up and monitor their hubs.
The scheme is being delivered in Peterborough by our partners at Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS), who are supporting local venues to become Digital Hubs.
Volunteer training for Digital Hub staff is being provided by Cambridge Online, helping to build confidence and skills to support digital inclusion in communities.
The scheme has already received strong support, including from Paul Bristow, Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, who visited a Peterborough Digital Hub to champion community-led digital inclusion. Read the full story
