Connecting Cambridgeshire’s ‘barrier busting’ Enabling Digital Delivery (EDD) service has been shortlisted for an INCA Gold Award for its work to progress the rollout of fibre broadband and better mobile coverage across the region.
Launched a year ago, the EDD team’s proactive approach – working with network providers, telecoms operators, council planners, streetworks and housing services to resolve issues that can hold up the delivery of digital connectivity – is already making an impact. Watch our new EDD video here and find out more here.
EDD has been shortlisted for the Best Public Sector Impact category and the INCA Golds winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the INCA Conference and Awards 2019, held in Manchester, on October 16/17.
Malcolm Corbett, CEO of INCA said: “We are delighted to have had such a high volume of entries for the second year running. What has been especially interesting is the variety of entries we have received. There has been a real shift towards a wider participation than before, with entries coming not only from those providing crucial services to rural and underserved communities through fibre, but also from those now providing networks via some fascinating and innovative new means.”
