Premises in Stuntney are included in the Connecting Cambridgeshire programme which will deliver improvements to the broadband infrastructure to enable as many homes and businesses as possible to receive superfast broadband speeds (minimum 24Mbps).
Installation of the fibre network is underway and once complete, it will undergo a commissioning process to test and secure links with the network, which can take between 4-6 weeks. After this, the structure will go live and residents will be able to order fibre broadband.
BT has confirmed that premises in Stuntney will be served by a fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) solution, which will enable householders and businesses to upgrade to superfast broadband speeds of at least 24 Mbps. A small number of harder to reach premises in Quanea Drove require a different solution and are expected to be covered later in the programme.
In the interim, Stuntney Broadband is offering a wireless broadband solution for residents. Find out more here.
Connecting Cambridgeshire and BT are working with Stuntney Parish Council to keep the community informed of progress and we will update these pages when we have more details.
