Broadband for communities
The internet has become part of everyday life for many people – whether it’s for working from home, job-hunting, online shopping, paying bills, downloading entertainment or interactive learning.
But did you know that 20% of the UK’s population has never accessed the internet? This could be because people don’t know about the benefits that it can bring or lack confidence in using new technologies.
The Connecting Cambridgeshire project aims to ensure that all Cambridgeshire communities, including the most remote areas, have access to digital services.
This will transform the way residents can access the services they need without having to travel far, helping to improve lives and save them time and money.
